WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? WHAT DID YOU JUST RECEIVE?

I placed my order last week. No notice that they were out. I received a message that they would try to fill my order for the April 9th but due to the demand there is a possibility they won't be able to and that they would notify me when the chicks are expected to ship.

Iwiw60 can you tell me where you bought your coop?
Sure! I bought mine online at Walmart.com .. of course!!

The best price for sure. This prefab coop kit was really inexpensive. I'm sure when I start unpacking it to put it together the materials it is made from will be rather low-grade, but hey! You get what you pay for, right? Besides, by the time I'm through doing the tweaks to it to get it somewhat "right" it'll be much stronger....

Well, being a 'newbie' to chickens, and the fact that I'm just an 'ol senior citizen, single, blah-blah-blah, I knew building my own from scratch was impossible for me. Add to the fact that I'm only going to have 3-4 hens I opted for one of those kits, inexpensive, but will have to do some considerable tweaking to it to get it right...here it is! With the help of a neighbor I'm going to raise the whole left side up about 2' and that so-called run on the right? It's history. Once I've raised it up I'll make a much better run, probably 8-10' long and much taller so I can get inside! :)
Please share pics of your reworked coop! I would love to see it:)

I bought that same kit. I add a heat lamp to the roost area using a smaller red bulb with an external larger external daylight heat lamp on the outside of the run. I also put a 1/2 mesh bottom on it and wheels so I can push it around. Have four comet hens in it right now that are feathered out but not ready to be outside yet. Its currently in my garage over a tarp so its easy to clean.

Dragons4u...you bought the same coop as I ordered???? My understanding is that they are relatively easy to put together..did it go together easy for you??

Yes, even with the modifications I made, total time to construct was only like 30 minutes.
Make sure you lay out the pieces and figure out what direction they face and will be quite simple.

I am taking it there, that you all got coops bigger then what I got from tractor supply last year. I thought it was going to be worth it for my new babies to grow up in. Heck no, it was puny. It says it will hold 8 hens. However it was only 3 feet wide, and about 3 feet deep. Wasn't worth the $150 price. And 8 hens???? Maybe bantams.

I now use that for a nesting area for one hen that is recoup-orating. way to small for even 2 large hens to be in.
