We adore our little 1 and 2 weekers. They are so much fun!

Ebony is going through a bit of an awkward stage. She is also the largest little girl!

Hazel, our Ameraucana. Roughly the same age as Ebony

And Rusty, our mystery bantam.

We are thinking he's a cockerel.

yeah he kind of looks like a game bird..cute little bugger he is ..they all are ..hes really pushing out some tail feathers ..lol

I got 16 chicks from McMurray hatchery in MN today. Shipped the 4th, delivered the 6th.

One is all pecked up and is acting exhausted. The rest are fat and happy.

(right after google calendar reminded me that they'd be shipping today... LIKE I NEEDED A REMINDER!! )

I'm gettting (all female, all bantams): 1 buff brahma, 2 easter eggers, 1 black silkie, 1 mottled cochin. I'll have a lovely basket of multicolored (tiny) eggs in a few months

Fingers crossed that all my girls will be okay

(and that they're all girls... and hoping that I'll get them bright and early tomorrow morning! CAN'T WAIT)

My order of 5 bantams were shipped out this morning! The brooder is all set up and waiting. I won't get much sleep tonight, I'm much too excited!

i have one more day to wait ,..i hope i get the call early as well ..my grandbabys are here tomorrow and they are going to go nutts ..lolo

hes gunna be a beautiful bird..i want to get some old English game birds ..they are awesome looking ..but i have no were to keep them right now ..but the chick math in my head is figuring it out now tho ..lol

Thanks for the welcome! Yes, my brooder is all set up in our workshop and my son helped. He can't wait. Still no shipping notice this morning - they said it could be anytime between Monday and Wednesday. Come on, chickies!
