1 Black Copper Marans
2 blue silkies
1 fawn silkie
1 salmon Faverolle

Very excited! This is my second round with chicks, got some last September who just started laying the beginning of March. Hoping for all girls, but the silkies aren't sexed, so we shall see.

I raised all kinds of birds many years back but I didn't know you could get them my mail. I always went to the feed store. Are they handled carefully this way?

usually..the chick has 3 days before it has to eat ..ask your feed store they get them from hatcheries and have them mailed also..just think about your weather and the weather at the hatchery most are in the midwest so shipping in 10 degree weather in Jan. may not be the best idea but usually march, April,May are the best bet not to hot anywhere or too cold...I had a box of 50 come from cackle (MO) at the end of Feb to IL still took over 2 days and I had only 1 dead..and none of the 25 bantams

i had 105 come from cackle march 5 and i lost about 16 which most of them were cornish crosses out of the other 55 i only lost 3

yeah definitely.. i ordered mine from chickensforbackyards.com ordered 5 and all 5 have had 0 health problems and all came alive and energized!

only if you pay for the vaccines and as far as sexed goes you have to order pullets cockrels or straight run i always order straight run for meat chickens that way you might get a few hens to keep
