What are your favorite treats to grow for your birds?

I had no idea there was another WA!!! I live in WA (Western Australia) in Australia. A long way from where you live......good luck with your gardening anyway.

Here in NY we have a couple of organic vegetable gardens and they especially enjoy the cherry tomatoes. I pull them a couple of handfuls of weeds every morning. They eat the leaves and the stems look like straw when they're done, which I rake from their run once a week. Keeps the run clean. Now that it's fall, they still free range a couple of hours a day but there seem to be very little bugs and treats they can find. They are doing a lot of digging to find the worms. I worry about what treats I can give them in the winter. I know they enjoy our table scraps but I will miss giving them fresh garden grown veggies and grass clippings. Maybe sprouts?
