What are your five favorite breeds and why

Pics
Here's my list:

1) Cochin standard - kinda aloof, and they walk like they are wearing SCUBA flippers - hilarious!
2) Brahma - big, quiet, fluffy, docile. The Newfoundland of chickens!
3) Barred Rock - smart, curious, friendly. And they look like feathered zebras. Bonus.
4) Opringtons - silly fluffy butts, goofy personality.

Lol! I only have 4 faves because I only have 4 chooks - the only ones I've ever had!
You need more. :D

Number 1 is hands down Orpington Bantams. They’re really cute and have great personalities.

Number 2 is Cochin. I’ve only had them for a week, but I’m really liking them.

Number 3 is Easter Egger. Nice calm birds, but maybe not the best egglayers.

Four is Faverolles. I’ve never personally had them but my had them, and really enjoyed them.

And number 5 is ISA Brown. Great egglayers and dispositions.

1. Orpington Bantam
2. Cochin
3. Easter Egger
4. Salmon Faverolle
5. ISA Brown

I'm new to chickens so my favorites are the ones I have. They're all bantams because my Mom had pet bantams when she was a little girl. I like to think she's looking down on me smiling.
So:
1. Bantam EE's, it's so fun to see what they end up looking like and what their eggs look like.
2. Bantam cochins, tails as big as their bodies. My sexed pullet ended up a cockerel, lol.
3. Bantam Polish, mine is so friendly and independant.

1. Silkies my Silkie Rooster is so cute and the one in my avatar passed away a few weeks ago hands down the funniest bird right there

Plaitnum Sussex another pullet of mine stunning feathers I just love her to bits

Pekin Bantam well this is one of my hens Chloe she puts up such a Fight not to be held but then you get such a shock when she decides she wants to be held planning on breeding her

So sorry you lost your Silkie roo! I lost my bearded Black Silkie hen last year at 6 yrs old to ovarian tumor. Why do we lose the spunkiest funniest cutest personalities in the flock?

Did I miss the memo? -- When did Coronation Sussex get re-named to Platinum Sussex? Beautiful birds!

You have a Pekin bantam -- I understand Pekin bantam is the same as a Cochin bantam? I'm just trying to keep up to speed with all the chicken breed names :)!
