what are your pet peeves?

Mine goes along with the "My chicks are here now what" sort of issue. but is more about people that want to pretend to not know. It is easier to play dumb and let everyone else do the thinking deciding and homework involved. then if anything goes wrong they can just say "Well so and so told me to".
Lazy or Dishonest people.
The junk they call music now days. I've heard better arrangements played by carousels.

We don't, but my folks do, and my next door neighbors do also. For both, the amount of sweet is very small--a small scoop of icecream or a slice of pie about an inch wide.

I guess one of my pet peeves is the size of desserts (and meals for that matter) when we eat out. I'd much rather have a smaller portion and pay less. Or give people the option of small or large. Most are HUGE. A related peeve is that most restaurants's dessert menu has nothing that isn't chocolate. Not all of us like chocolate. Also related is when they call something "cake" and it isn't, or call a crisp or cobbler "pie" or similarly use the wrong term.

I get very annoyed when family steps over pet vomit,urine,poop to tell me,"I think the dog/cat puked,peed,pooped over there."

I get another bill that says the claim was denied because they could not identify us as insured by our insurance.

Getting bills and seeing the rates went up AGAIN.

My neighbor throwing garbage over the fence into my yard instead of just throwing the garbage out.

Showing dh something we got in the mail(bill,insurance changes,whatever).He looks at it,but does not REALLY look at it.Then weeks later he says," Why didn't you show this to me before????" I did.

Going for our once-in -a-long-time outing to a restaurant and having it ruined by kids running,screaming,and throwing food.

Opening the window to get fresh air,and smelling cat urine instead.

The winky smiley, cell phones while driving, drivers crossing double yellow lines, tardiness, and people trying to answer questions they don't know the answer to.

The phrase "I seen". Sends me over the top.


And sorry Wifezilla that must have been me at the redbox the other day. I have never used it before and we had no idea what kinds of movies they had, and then the movie the kids wanted was out.... So, sorry!

Students who barely show up for class, don't read the text, and then clearly do not study who then fail the mid-term and make it my fault. "I need extra credit opportunities!" No you don't, you want extra credit, not the same thing. Or my other student favorite and e-mail the day after class: "I missed class yesterday, can you tell me what we covered?" Sure I am perfectly willing to repeat a three hour lecture via e-mail for you since you missed class, no problem! Or, "I missed class, can you tell me if we did anything important?" Oh, no we didn't do anything important since neither I nor my class are very important so, no worries you can miss class all the time.

I hate:

turtlenecks, olives, when people give my 5 year old makeup for her birthday, when people spread messes around instead of helping pick up, stupid girls who hit on my husband, the cartoon network, the entire BMI thing, when people say 'furmilliar' instead of FAMiliar... there's only one R... and it's at the end!!! Also EYE-talian, instead of IH talian....

No, you mean what do I have?

And.... people that where clothes they shouldn't.... just because they make it in you size doesn't mean you should wear it! I'm not small, but live by the rule! I have no business wearing hip huggers!

I don't think anyone ever touches my head... I hate when I have to kiss people... when social pressure dictates that I must touch them beyond a brief hello hug... makes me feel queasy. for real.
