What book are you currently reading?

One of J.D. Robbs, I read almost anything except westerns, I really don't care for the syrupy romance, My favorite is any mystery. Guess thats why I love Bookmooch.com and swaptree.com.Had never read any of Brad Thor's books but got one in trade and loved it now looking for more, also Joel Rosenberg. marrie

Hi!
Lillian Jackson Brauns 'Cat' series are fun reads. I've read 15 or so of them. Got duplicates of several if you want them.
Right now, I'm reading a kind of silly one --- THE LOCH by Steve Allen. Almost done with it and looking forward to reading an old Dick Francis I'd never found before.
Before that, I read RESOLUTION by Robert B Parker (or tried to, I put it down before I finished it. Should have anticipated it, I tried to read APPALOOSA by Parker and didn't enjoy it.). I enjoy the Spenser series, but just couldn't get into either of those.

Those all sound like some good books.
I forgot to mention that Dean Kootz is a very good author. I read about 3 of his books so far. My fav series of his is called "Odd Thomas." Its about a witty, strange guy who can see spirits. I cant wait for another one of those books to come out.

There are 2 or 3 more in the Odd Thomas series. Forever Odd and Brother Odd. Your Library should have them. They are not as good as the first book in my opinion.
I just started Edgar Sawtelle.
A good recent read for me was-Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen.

I used to love to read Stephen King. I recently read Pillars of the Earth. Awesome book. Now I'm just starting Still Alice. Fictional story told from the POV of someone with Alzheimer's.

I'm reading the first "Found" collection by Davy Rothbart - it's a book version of his magazine, where people send in random notes and photos they find. Amazing view into people's lives.

I just finished Steve Martini's Shadow of Power - Legal Thriller - REALLY GOOD BOOK.

I am now reading Nora Roberts The Tribute. Lighter romantic fare after three heavy books in a row.

Hi! The 'Odd Thomas' series had promise, but the last one was a flop and barely readable to me.
What was the Koontz series about the tattoo-ed and scarred guy --- was it Frankenstein? The first few of those were entertaining. I haven't seen a new one lately.
