What brand incubator?

Hovabators DO NOT like changes in room temp, it says so right in the directions for the bator. You can go to GQF mfr website and look at the directions. We had one when we first started incubating and the temp would swing all the time. We got a GQF Sportsman and you can hatch wooden eggs in that thing! Yes they are about $600 but our first one payed for itself completly in the first spring thru chick sales.

What ever you decide on check around for prices, there is quite a difference from one place to another, Also look for spare parts. We keep extra heating elements, fans, turner motors on hand just in case.

Thank you all for your help. I've been looking around for the hovabator and I did see the note about room temps. Mine changes constantly on the main level, but maybe I could use a room upstairs or in the finished basement that may stay more constant, although cooler.

i love my genesis best thing since sliced bread as they say hahahaha

I have a R-Com also. My first batch of quail eggs started hatching today.
See how it turns out. I put half in a LG and half in the R-Com 20

I bought this today upon your recommendation to others. I hope to have some success at this one and then I plan to make one on my own much like you made. Thanks for your insight !

Yay! My incubator came today, already!! Now what do I do?
I've never hatched eggs this way before. I've been looking for some interesting eggs to hatch, but have not decided on a breed to start with. Is it okay to do this at this time of the year? I didn't get a turner yet. What should I read before I start this? Besides the directions on the incubator.
I am sooo excited!
