What brand incubator?

MissPrissy -- Does the Hova-Bator come with the thermometer/hygrometer or do you need to purchase that separately? I saw a manual for the thermometer/hygrometer on the linked website, but didn't see it listed as a separate item. Thanks.

Why buy a Ford Pinto ( styrofoam Genesis 1588) when you can get a Cadillac for same money or less?

Brinsea 20 ECO $99.00 with automatic turner $149.

I bought mine without the turner cause I can turn the eggs manually without opening the bator, also it gives me something to do (turning the eggs), since this thing holds the temp rock solid it is boring after struggling with a styrobator, no temp spikes, no heat sinks necessary, no excuses.
.
What a pleasure and relief from all styrobators, Little Monsters (LG's) and all kind of problems they are famous for: instability, temp spikes and other disasters they bring to unsuspected hatching enthusiasts., not mentioning cleaning mess after the hatch.

A beginner should start with easy and dependable incubator.
Not with "improved' styrofoam beer cooler.

Brinsea 20 ECO was on sale for $99 a couple of weeks ago. It is back to normal price of $129 now.

The 20 Advanced with digital read outs on temp and humidity is on sale still for $332 INCLUDING autoturner/cradle. So shipping is reduced as well since you are not shipping cradle separately.

I live by rationalizations.

It is not matter of "luck".

Quality incubator like any Brinsea model will consistently hatch fertile eggs without much hassle or/and failure.

I have three bators, my first one Little Giant I call it "Little Monster",

Then I build myself a bator using an old wooden night stand.

It works very good.

Then I got Brinsea 20 ECO for my small hatches.

Sure, my LG did hatch some eggs, but I was keeping a vigil day and night on temperature fluctuation, it was a hard work.

Now I only use it sometimes as a hatcher when my 2 other bators can not keep up with the load.

I would never commit any precious/expensive eggs to any Styrobator.

Too much risk.

Brinseas are brlliant incubators, excellent value for money. I've had quite a few over the years & many other makes too. Of the non professonal incubators, I've not had any to match the Brinseas.
The bigger Brinseas are better than the Sportsman better hatches, & easier to control. Auto humidity control an extra option.
