I just found a cheap but good puppy food, it's by merrick. Whole earth farms holistic food.It even has bufflo, white fish, duck, chicken and turkey. Also has no corn, bet part it's 7.99 for a 8lb baga nd for the large one it's $26 not bad at all!

We feed Whole Earth Farms by Merrick also. $39.99 for a 35lb bag and the ingredients are great for the price.

Ingredients:

Chicken Meal, Turkey Meal, Oat Meal, Pearled Barley, Ground Rice,Ground Millet, Ground Barley, Chicken Fat (preserved with mixed Tocopherols, a source of Vitamin E)
Duck, Buffalo, White Fish, Natural Chicken Liver Flavor, Salmon Oil (a natural source of Omega-3, Docosahexaenoic Acid-DHA)*, Organic Alfalfa Sun-cured ground, Yeast Culture, Tomato Pomace Dried , Dried Egg,Organic Sunflower Seed Ground, Salt, Calcium Phosphate, Potassium Chloride,
Choline Chloride, Lysine, Blueberry Dried, Cranberry Dried, Yucca Schidigera Extract,Inulin (from Chicory Root), Rosemary, Sage, Thyme, Cinnamon, Marigold Dried, Zinc Amino Acid Complex, Enterococcus faecium, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus casei,Iron Amino Acid Complex, Vitamin E Supplement, Manganese Amino Acid Complex,
Vitamin A Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement,
Copper Amino Acid Complex, d-Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin D3, Niacin, Lecithin, Riboflavin, Supplement, Biotin, Ethylenediamine Dihydriodide, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride,
Cobalt Amino Acid Complex, Folic Acid, Thiamine Mononitrate, Sodium Selenite.

With five large/giant breed dogs cost is a factor.

Absolutely will not feed anything made by Diamond, i'm not giving them the opportunity to poison my dogs.

several...
Taste of the Wild for both the puppy and the cat.
Diamond Naturals Extreme Athlete as it has the highest amount of calories and I have a very hard time maintaining weight with my very active dogs.
We also feed raw meat and bones.

Just a suggestion; I love Taste of the Wild, and they say it is for all life stages, but I would NOT feed it to a puppy. Puppies have different nutritional requirements than adult dogs. Can't remember if it was the protein or something else, but it's just not formulated for a puppy. You might switch to something else for now, and switch back to TOTW when your puppy is an adult. Just my .02

Kirkland Lamb and rice supplemented with chicken, turkey, rice, vegies, and just about anything I'm eating.

Jake is around 70 pounds and only eats an average of 3 cups a day plus around 2 cups of the other ingredients I listed.

Jenny ate the same diet and came to me at 17 years old, 20 pounds overweight and full of cysts and possibly tumors. Within 3 months of changing her diet she lost the weight and 90% of the growths on her body. I could not believe what a good diet would do and how fast. I just put her down and she was almost 19.

Prey Model Raw here also..and its CHEAP this time of year,,calving season,lambing..yesterday I went and picked up a ewe that died during lambing, got her and two lambs for free..have gotten about 10 calves, and some piglets...all for free..tho its getting warm enough I do have to cut them and bag them for freezing, my dog food freezer is 3/4 full with free meat.. I believe it is the best way to go for them,,natures way.
