what "various ingredients are you talking about? in true raw feeding all you feed is raw meat, bones, and organs..if you cannot get grass fed meat some will give salmon oil for omega 3's,soy free oil..I give raw eggs also because I have so many eggs around..you start with one protien like bone-in chicken breast, feed that for 2 weeks to maybe 2 months for some dogs, then add in another protien, small portions, added to the chicken, keeping in mind the 2-3% idea adult body weight portions..to many meats to fast will make some dogs loose,as will pork and lamb until they get used to it as they are fatty meats,,ever butchered a sheep?,very fatty..the one I did last week ad 2-3lb globs of fat along her spine, and not like chicken fat, this is hard and crumbly.Dont even worry about organs until you are several months into this diet,,then start with thumbnail size pieces.to much organ will give them the runs also
Jax would get the runs easily, also gas. I think it was too much meat, too fast. The only meats available around here are from walmart. We are supposed to be getting an actual butcher shop in town, so I hope to be able to purchase better for him.
Both Kane and Jax seemed to have very sensitive tummies as young pups. Jax outgrew his and Kane is doing better.
