What bred is this gray beauty?

My daughter's Kindergarten class got to watch chicks hatching at the end of their school year last year. When they had hatched they needed homes. My daughter volunteered us to take two chicks and this is one of them.

This chicken has some very small red marks ( one or two feathers) on the wings. The first time I saw them, I thought that one of our other established birds had pecked and drawn blood.

Agree with the cockerel. Could also be a blue Australorp

I've never seen a blue australorp (sounds gorgeous) so I'll say blue orpington

The one above is not exactly laced like mine but I've seen lots of blues that lose their lacing (breeding blues to blue dilutes the colour)

Black with some nice green/purple/blue iridescence.
