What breed? 5 Toes

Dorkings also have 5 toes. I have three that are "Dorkings", they all have 5 toes..but do not look like Dorkings.

This is what they look like now.....

They changed a lot!

Actually it resembles #2 but longer neck and more lean body... hmm maybe it is just a mix although in these pics the 5th toe looks more natural

Wow. The only breeds I know of with 5 toes are Silkies, Houdans, and Faverolles. She's definitely none of those. Very interesting.
Does she have any trace of feathering on her legs/feet? If she does she may be a mix, with one of those breeds in her background.
As others have pointed out, don't forget Dorkings (plus the Sultans that lovinchicks metioned, that makes 5 breeds total ) Dorkings are the only non-crested or non feather-shanked of the 5 toed chickens so in my mind it makes it the most likely suspect for a cross. I don't remember their color variations though.

Since the toe on question is so small/atypical, I think it is at least only 1/2 and may even be 1/4 Dorking.

There was another thread recently asking the breeds of chicks they got from Sandhill Preservation and they were not true-to-breed either (I think the breeds in question were Marans and Sussex). Methinks they may have roosters sneaking in the wrong pens. Her eis a link to that thread:

Thanks for your help. I will not be breeding any of these. I will be keeping her though because I think she is cool.

To post a pic, just click the square thats above where you post. If you hover over it it will say Insert Image.
big_smile.png

I tried that and then it will ask me to pick the pictures i want to insert but then it will ask me for the image URL before it will let me post it and it won't let me post the pictures without the URL.

If you have the pictures on your computer click the boxed button:

Then you can choose them from your computer and you don't need a URL for that.
