Hi there!
I was wondering if you guys could help me take a stab at what breed and gender these little chicks are. They are approximately 4 or 5 weeks old.
I got them from good ol' Tractor Supply Co., who could tell me absolutely nothing about these lovely little birds. They were mixed in the bin with White Phoenixes, along with a couple other random breeds. I bought them the same day I bought some Brahmas and Faverolles, who were smaller than these two chicks, but now the Brahmas and Faverolles are larger than these two chicks.
They are both lavender or light grey. Chick A has some obvious tan speckles. Chick B has a white "mane", and very faint tan speckles. They both have green/blue/slate-ish legs, but Chick B's legs are more grey. Both of their legs have a small amount of feathers down the sides. And they both have very faint puffy chipmunk cheeks like my Easter Egger chick.
I originally thought they were Large Fowl size, but now I am starting to think they are Bantam, based on their posture and shape. Chick A looks to me like a boy, and Chick B looks like a girl, but their Bantam-like posture may be throwing me off.
Here are some photos of Chick A:

And here are some photos of Chick B:

And here is a photo with both of them, Chick A in the back and Chick B in the front:

Any thoughts??? Thanks!
