My guess = chick with red comb is a roo!
Im not sure if tail feathers mean anything but 2 chicks have fluffy and wide tail feathers where 1 has narrow tail feathers

The little one with the bigger comb is a cockeral and I'm thinking light sussex
The other two look like pullets.
Can you post better photos of them please? What color are their legs?
I agree.Don is a Light Sussex cockerel, the other two appear to be either leghorn pullets or white rock pullets. I can't tell until they're older and either the leghorns stay light, or the rocks put on some muscle.
My worry is they look like maybe they could be Cornish cross. But I haven't yet raised CC myself.
Anyone agree with them looking like that?
They seem too hefty to me to be either Leghorns or even really Rocks.
I gotcha.
Thank you for that.We hope to try our first ones this fall or next spring. Although idk how we will like them and we plan to pasture them.
I figured other than being extra meaty they would look somewhat normal for another week or so.
We have our first red rangers right now. Otherwise we have always bred and raised our own heritage cockerals.
