What breed and gender are these chickens please

They kind of look like my americanos. They look young. Have they laid any eggs?

They look female so far. They are lavender (self blue) and very pretty, but do not look like orpingtons, look more like ameraucanas. Orpingtons have full, round bodies. If so, you will not know for sure about gender until they are around 12 weeks old.

Which breed will I not know about gender til around 12 weeks ? The ameraucanas ? Or Orpington ?

I am thinking Americana too because of the pea comb, I wasn't sure though. If you need to figure out how to keep your cockerels we can help you with that too!

No eggs only been given them today . Many thanks not sure the age . They were left at a woodland unfortunately and we rescued them

Likely both, LOL! I have had both breeds and it can take along time for the sex specific characteristics to develop.

I have a few cockrells and they all seem
Happy and looking after them has been a pleasure so far!

I’m knew to this so bear with me ! Hi all ! Great little forum . I think these are lavender opington ? But any idea what gender these two are ?

The picture isn’t the best but that’s probably not a lavander Orpington. I have an Orpington girl growing right now and they have single combs, where as your girls have pea combs. Judging by the coloring and comb and body, it looks to be a self blue Ameraucana! Really pretty birds with beautiful blue eggs, I think it looks like both pullets so let’s cross our fingers for those blue eggs!
