What breed and gender? Australorp?

Here it is now at 9 1/2 weeks. No crowing yet.

Feathering says pullet, but comb makes me think cockerel. So I'm going with cockerel, for now.

Yep, we are back and forth on it too. Also not sure if it's a Black Marans or an Australorp.

11 1/2 weeks. We are still unsure.

That much comb at this age is rooster for sure. Sex feathers will come in the next month or so, and crowing at any time. I have birds over 5 months that aren't crowing.

I am 100% sure that is a boy. I only say this so confidentely because I loved my four australorp hens so much and they all turned out to be roosters. I did exstensive research on this breed. That bird is
too shiny, colorful and the tail feathers are already looking like a roosters.
