What breed and gender is our chook!

Four weeks old today. Photographs taken today. Has a scratch on it's comb so more red than normal. Comb colour is a lite orange.

Wanting to know breed and gender.

It's male.

Breed is hard to say for me this early in the game. A lot of chicken breeds come in white...

What color are it's earlobes and legs (they seem to be yellow, but look kinda greenish in the pic?) and is that a straight comb?

The ear is still white and has fluff over it. The legs are yellow but do have a green tint. I know the chicken more than likely isn't purebreed. Mmmmm thoguht it might be a boy but was great to let our first time mum 'Pene' splash orpington have a chick, this was the only one that hatched.

Then I'd have to say EasterEgger cockerel. I don't know of any other muffs breeds with dark legs.

Silly question but how can you tell the chick is a boy, my friend has some chicks from the same farmer, I wanted to attempt to sex her!

He really is quite young, so the amount of pink in his comb makes me think a definite boy

A girl this young wouldn't have so much pink.
