Meet Peanutbutter and Oreo. They were born around Easter therefore are about 4 months old. Oreo made his gender very clear about 2 weeks ago when he began learning to crow.
Now the question is, what breed are they???
I have seen some pictures with posts that indicate they may be Easter Eggers.
We have a 7 month old that we thought was an Amer. but is an Egger.
He is far more colorful than Oreo.

Very cool. We got them just as Oreo started learning to crow and they seem to be fine with their 22 pen mates who are 3-4 weeks younger than them.
We are excited in anticipation of the prospect of colored eggs in addition to all the brown layers.
The group has is acquiring some character as well as color.
Scattered in among 16 Black Sexlinks are 3 Rhode Islands, a silver-laced and a gold-laced Wyandotte, an Amberlink and Oreo and Peanutbutter.
We also have a 7 month old EE too that is the yard boss. Everyone in the pen is too young/small for him and until they get bigger there will be no contact but even so, he takes his duties very seriously.
He roosts just outside the pen and doesn't settle in until all is quiet in the pen.
