I got a few Bantam chicks from Atwoods a few weeks ago, and now that some of their feathers are coming in, I am eaven more curious of exactly WHAT breeds they may be.

These two babies are my favorite of the bunch. They have yellow heads, gray bodies, and it seems to be silver laced wings. I hope they grow all thier feathers like that.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Looks like Gold and Silver Sebrights, not sure about the brownish one, OEG or EE would be two guesses.

Top looks like a gold seabright, middle, I'm not 100% sure but could be a japanese pheanix, would depend on how common they are around, some places very, others not so much, and the last 2 look like silver seabrights...

Thanks for the help! After looking those up I think they are most likely seabrights. Haha. I am glade cause they are pretty and i was worried about thier small sizes since all the other 6 different banties I have with them and the 5 cochins are growing up so big so fast!
This was so helpful, i might post a few more pics of some other babies when i get home. Thank you again!

I have the same ones!!! Only mine are a little older but I was completely stumped as to what breed they were. So glad I found your post!!!

Oh wow mmontes, your birds looks so cute! I can't wait till they get a bit bigger like that! I can't wait to get home and let them run around outside, because today is nice for a change.

Mountain Peeps, Speckles is so beautiful. They truly are lovely birds. I am glade I picked those three little devils out at the store ( mainly because they were so tiny and cute and interesting looking!).

Yes, they are little balls of fun! Just to warn you, sebrights are a wild breed and will crow, screech and even become aggressive if they are confined to a small area. (That's what happened with Speckles. She was making more noise then a rooster simply because she was living in a confined space.) Otherwise, they are a great breed who lay such cute eggs and, obviously, are gorgeous!

I have a few more banties I am not 100% sure about and would like opinions if they are available.

He looks really similar to the one some people think is the Easter Egger or Japanese Phoenix, however, he has a brown head instead of whitish/ yellow, and yellow legs.

Not really sure? Has a white strip from neck to tail and very thick legs.

I think this is a Banty Cochin based on the big Cochins I have, and the fact it's legs have feathers. Not sure though.

White head, grey body... Probably wont know until it's bigger and has more feathers grow in.

At first I thought it was a Road Island Red, but I am rethinking that due to the fact I bought 2 this weekend that are much darker than this little one.

Looks like a little boy to me... but I am not sure this breed. Too bad, because I wanted a pure white female. oh well.

Thanks in advance if I get any answers. Like I sad, I was just curious if anyone has any different ideas or thoughts on the banty breeds I may have.
