What breed are my chicks?

The main reason I ask is that pavlovskaya are ridiculously rare. In the U.S. they cost about $100 per unsexed chick. Bantam Cochins, on the other hand, are very common.

The breeder said she gave us some pavlovskaya eggs along with others, some didn't make it so we weren't sure if any pavlovskaya hatched. She gave us quite an in depth lecture on the history of the pavlovskaya so we just took her word on their breed.

Hey!
My chicken had been sitting on five eggs! One hatched but had been moved from under the hen half in its shell. I slotted it back under only to find it half dead and bloody in the morning.
Shocked, I took it to my incubator and tried to clean the blood. Now she is chirping away in the incubator. I hope she lives!! Her name is nugget!
When I checked on my hen later another chick had hatched and the hen was fine..
Why did she peck thd poor chick?!

The odds of unintentionally coming into possession of Pavlovskaya is slim to none. Most likely, your bird is a Polish/Silkie mixed breed.
