The small ones are both female. That coloring/pattern is female only coloring.

It's called caponizing. But it's very dangerous for the bird.

The new one looks likes girl to me? Not that I'm an expert but gamebird hens seem to often have tails like that. I would only start worrying if they are long thin feathers that start curling downward, or you get pointy thin feathers around the back and neck. I'm far from expert though - but just don't panic yet.

I recently acquired 8 hens and am new to chicken "farming". I've tried to research what breeds I now have, but I'm struggling with a couple.

These two I cannot determine. The small hen in the background is about half the size as the white hen.
