We got our friend's hooked into chickens. It started with saving a friend from killing this roo because he didn't want to have more than one on the property, so I told them they should get some hens to keep him company. They decided to get 12 chicks.

So, they didn't get the names of the breeds, just went to the feed store and bought a mix. Here they are, any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

1st, the roo. he is probably a mix since he was picked up at the same time as my mix from a friend:

Now the 4 types of chicks.

1st: Sorry not such a good shot of their heads:

2nd: I think Chocin?

3rd: Has feathers on the feet, but not as heavy as the 2nd type.

I would say barred mix.
#1 Not sure
#2 Buff cochin for sure
#3 Not sure... could be cochin just not a standard color I'm aware of
#4 Not sure... maybe leghorn?

They're all very cute though, whatever they turn out to be

The roo looks like a black sex link. The first chicks... maybe GLW. The last chick looks like a leghorn. I can't help on the feather-footed ones.

first pic looks to be a barred rock

1) gold laced wyandottes
2) buff cochin
3) salmon faverolle pullet
4) leghorn?

Just out of curiosity, why do you all say that 'might' be a leghorn for the last one? It looks exactly like one...the only other possibility that I know of that even looks remotely similar is a Cornish Rock and they are heavy birds...that bird is built way to lean to be a Cornish???? IDK maybe I'm too new at this to understand the question but to me there shouldnt be one???

Garden girl, take a look at my page...all of mine are leghorns...I'd say you can judge for yourself. (sorry their not recent pics)
