what breed are these?

    I have had these hens for years and i rescued them from a battery house and i was just wondering if any one new the beed? i know they are hybrids but do they have a name or not? [​IMG] [​IMG]

    i dont know much about chickens...but they look like rhode island reds of some sort

    they arnt rhode island reds because they are to light and cross bred and i have rescued quite alot and lost quite alot

    If they were rescued from a commercial operation, then most definitely they are production reds of some sort. Different hatcheries call them different things - red sexlinks, cinnamon queens, isa browns are just a few names. Excellent layers, and typically very laid back.

    They look like my production red....I think they were called cherry eggers when I bought them from Cackle. Good layers, sweet friendly hens.
