What breed are they?

I initially thought I had a couple of black copper marans. However I live in New Zealand and have just found out that apparently we don't have that breed here! The larger chook is the mother, the smaller is a rooster coming up 3 months. His gold streaks are just starting to show. He has feathered feet. I'll include photos of when he was a chick too, thanks!

I am just going to guess that they are mixes. I think that breeds with crests don't usually have single combs....
