Hi! I am from Southern Michigan and I had recieved 4 pullets from a family member suddenly.

All I know is that the chicks are from TSC, theyre pullets AND they were bought within the last week.

Any guesses would be great!

This doesn't work with all breeds, but for a lot of them pullets grow tails and wings way faster than cockerls, meaning if most chicks have wings that go to the tip of their tail and growing tail feathers, while one chick has small wings and no tail feathers it often means that one with small wing is a cockerel. In my experience this method usually works in most common egg laying breeds.
What I'm saying is I think this chick (see in my sceenshot) might be a cockerel. I'm not saying it's 100% a cockerel, but keep an eye on it as it grows and develops.

It might still be a pullet, who knows.

I've heard TSC makes mistakes and some "pullets" end up being cockerels.

This “method” that you are mentioning is caused by specific breeding. Has to do with genetics and won’t work unless specifically bred for. Hatcheries most definitely won’t put in the time to do it. And yes, I agree that they are RSLs and, therefore, sexable at hatch ;)
