That's a good question. I think I see big bits of corn in there, which is a no-no for baby chicks. No nutritional value and they require grit to process it. Try straight chick feed and see how they do.
thanks all for your help.. americana is what they are.. or EE's a as you said.. took her out to the yard yesterday and the whole bunch had great fun in their movable pen. put them on a freshly dug row with new compost..yum!
any way she is walking a littel better. seems to favor on leg though . think maybe a broken toe?????
any way trhanks again..
now if youall can hop over to my other post about breed identification and see what the other 4 are!!
BUMP..
some one on the other post i have said they may all be EE's.. but i thought EE's had grey legs and only one (the one having difficulty walking) has grey legs... could possibly i be looking at 3 different breeds> the two carmel coloured and the 2 white and black?? and then the one EE???
I think they MAY be some kind of BO cross. I have 5 chicks... one that is DEFINTELY an Orp cross and the other 4 I am thinking now are also as they look VERY similar and it was one of the possible parents. They look very similar..... Of course, at first I thought maybe mine were Wyandotte crosses...... so.... maybe that also
