what breed has a tendancy to go broody other than silkies?

I can't wait for my BO to go broody, although I would ideally like her to wait until next summer, as we're expecting a baby of our own in July so I may be a bit too busy for chicks as well!

What I use as my broodies are game, a frizzle cochin a black sumatra and my cuckoo marans..............

Bantams tend to be more broody. We've seen broodiness in Old Dutch, buff Orpington and Ameraucana bantams, and even a Chantecler Standard.

My two GoldenLaced Wyandotte Cochins are at the top of the list for broody hens and they make wonderful protective mamas!

I don't have any broodies yet

but I've been told that the partidge chantecler pullets I've ordered are a broody breed.

My Cuckoo Marans seem to always be broody. I have a GLW that goes broody too in the spring.
