What breed hatched here?

I wouldn't think they are the mille fleur because one the eggs look like LF eggs and two the chicks do not have feathered legs. The closest thing I could think of would be the Hamburg, but I don't think the chicks have rosecombs. Hopefully the seller will replace your eggs, and you may get some free chicks out of the deal. What a shocker! LOL

Those are LF eggs. . . And the closest the chicks come to are the Lemon MilleFluer Sablepoots. . . But neither the chick nor the egg match it. They're something not on the list.

The seller won't even acknowledge that she sent me the wrong eggs. As I first emailed her she said that they are bang on time with hatching and not too early, because she thinks it's my first time incubating eggs!? As I wrote back saying again that they are not ducks but chickens she said that I must have mixed up the eggs, she even went so far to say that she saw in my feedback that I bought some chicken hatching eggs and that I mixed the two up and those are the ones hatching right now. So I explained to her that I know I did buy chicken eggs but those I got way before hers and they already hatched and I know how they look because I bought them as new blood for my already existing flock. Yesterday it ended in me sending her photos after she asked what they look like and the color of the eggs etc. Still no answer to that yet.

I can not believe how she is not even entertaining the thought that she sent me the wrong eggs. And she is trying everything to blame it on me. All I wanted was Pekin ducks and it would be nice if she would recognize her mistake and replace the eggs but I really don't see that happening.

I will post more photos later of the ones that hatched yesterday.

Did you use Paypal? If so, talk to them. They can get you your money back.

They are sharp-billed webless pekin ducks. I can not believe you all did not recognize them. I am disappointed.

I guess since they are EXTREMLY rare, it is possible that the BYC experts may not recognize them right away.

They are cute, whatever they are. I do hope you can get this matter settled quickly.

Best wishes.

(BTW, I wouldn't be expecting them to swim very well right of the bat, they will possibly need swimming lessons.)

That is amazing! Did you know when you saw the color and size of the shells that they weren't Pekin duck eggs? I have no idea what they are but they're cute! I recently got some mixed SQ silkie eggs off eBay that didn't hatch out the way I expected, but at least they were the right species!

Well those were the first Pekin ducks eggs we bought, since we do not have those ducks yet. So we did not know how they are supposed to look like but we thought because they are big (about the same size as the eggs of Campbell ducks) that they were the right ones.

I should have thought about those right away, I will make sure to hire them a swim coach when the time is right and I will buy them some water wings.

I took some more photos this morning, hope they help clarify it a little what they are

Here is one where you can see the comb very well on the one on the left. (these hatched last night)

These are the ones that hatched yesterday, they are already in the brooder but now you can see that they have a very nice pattern on the back.

I will try to get some more photos in case these don't help that much either. I am sure at some point they reveal their true breed

This is the last message I received from the seller.

i have looked at the photos they are chickens but
i have checked the receipt and the eggs weighed
1.25 kg the exact wait of 12 peking duck eggs if i
way the largest chicken eggs i have there only
800g .9.00g
i am at a loss to explain

Does any one know the UK Royal Mail system and can tell me if there is some sort of weight class and that her receipt would say that her package was 1.25kg and under or would it really state the weight the package had?

To me it just seems like she is trying every thing to get out of this it also seems like she knows which chickens she sent me.
