What breed hens are particularly broody?

Yea Cochin, pekin, wyandottes basically all chickens can be broody people say some breeds of chickens have had Broodiness bread out of them I have never heard of an ISA brown going broody so there Broodiness may have been bread out of them also silkies are top mammas

Here are some breeds that go broody.

Buff Brahmas
Buff Orpingtons
Buff Plymouth Rocks
Cochins
Cuckoo Marans
Dark Cornish
Light Brahmas

I have a cochin, and at that im pretty sure she is transgender lol, "manliest" looking ( and acting ) hen ever!

I have only witnessed her lay one egg in, maybe four/five months!

non- hatchery birds are usually way more likely to go broody. Orpingtons, silkies, & game hens are incubators with legs.

And does it matter that I have 3 types of hens and a different breed of rooster? Do I just get mutt chickens?

My Brahmas haven't ever gone broody. This year it's been my Australorpe, Orpingtons, and RIR.

My Aussie has just finished hatching our first clutch of chicks. Very good mama hens.
