When breeding barred hens for sexlinks, it doesn't really matter what color the rooster is, as long as he isn't barred or solid white. It's the hen's barring gene that results in only the males being barred.If I were to put him over My barred rock hens would they be sex linked? Or would his mixed heritage mess with the genetics too much to be accurate?
