What breed is he?

Recently was givin this old rooster. They said he was full stock buff. He cllearly isnt but what is he. Very handsome roo though

When the comb is surgically removed. Could have been that his comb was damaged by frostbite, prompting the removal of the comb.

To my knowledge he was born that way. But the color was what had my doubts goin on the most is his color normal for a buff roo?

It's very normal for a buff rooster to have a darker shade through the shoulder/wing area. It's usually the easiest way to spot a young cockerel.

To me he looks more like a mix, maybe with gamefowl? He isn't built like a game but his coloration reminds me of a pumpkin hulsey. It could also explain the dubbing.

Looks dubbed to me but, suppose he could be an orp x game bird

The original owner who hatched him said full stock buff orp no mention of dubbed comb that i know of. I was just doubting because of the bright colored feathers and reddish wings. Thought buff orps were all cream colored. Im new ish to raising chickens. My current flock is:
3 rir bantams,
6 lohman brown hens,
1 jersey giant x barred rock roo.
And this new roo.I want to raise full stock orps but if he is mixed i will need to find him another home and start again. Any info on this appreciated. Thanks everybody
