If you got him from TSC, he is likely an Asian Black.

I bought him from a fair so I'm thinking he's probably a mix

Asian Blacks are a mixed breed. So, he maybe still be an Asian Black, you got from someone.

He's Gold Split to silver Birchen, so most of his offspring will be Silver, or Gold Birchen females, or Silver, Gold, or Gold Split to silver Birchen males.
