I have gotten him when he was a week old. Came from hobby farm so not a hatchery.

I don't know but he's pretty! I was thinking some kind of sex link but I don't think so with that lacing. Following to find out.

If you put your location into your profile people can give better-targeted advice. For example, some breeds that are common in one country are completely unavailable in others.

Your handsome fellow is likely to be some kind of mixed breed.

It would be VERY unusual for a hobby breeder to

A. Have a rare breed like the one suggested,
B. Sell you an individual of a rare breed like that without both informing you AND charging you extra for the privilege.

He's a Buff Laced White Orpington. This variety is very complicated to make and wouldn't just pop up in a mixed breed. He has pretty decent lacing too so I don't think it's a situation of being mixed varieties

Here is a photo I took this morning.
He is very timid. Gets dominated by the other rooster.
I got him from a lady who lives near Dallas.
She was staying down in South Texas and we had a conversation about chickens. I told I would like to get some that lay green or blue eggs. She said she can call whomever is taking care of her place to put some eggs in the incubator and then she would deliver the chicks once they hatched. She said she did not know what I got in my mystery box. LOL
