What breed is he?!

Hello fellow chicken lovers! This guy is sold to me as amerucana but I'm wondering if there was a mix up on him. Either way he's a stinker and so is named Skunk. Thanks for your comments!

That is a silver-laced Wyandotte cockerel.

He looks like either a Wyandotte cross or a poor quality silver laced Wyandotte.

He looks like either the poorly bred Silver Laced Wyandotte...but I am thinking possible Easter Egger (I can't tell if that is a rose or pea comb...or maybe inbetween???)...as you discovered you did not purchase an Ameraucana, since he does not fit SOP...meaning only those birds who fit the Ameraucana Breed Associations standard can be called, and most importantly sold, as an Ameraucana (which affects the value of the bird).

Often it is misinformed people who think Easter Egger and Ameraucana mean the same thing...which they don't...sometimes (even often) it is someone trying to cash in on the price of a rare breed.

Sorry he is a stinker...roosters can be that way...hopefully he'll settle down when his hormones do.

Thanks guys! His sister has a full pea comb but his is more flat than bumpy. Like a stewed tomato.

She is much bigger than him. So my guess is they are hybrids with hopefully blue eggs. But if not that's ok. They were very healthy when I got them and are full of personality.

My other batch came with downy muffs so I'm hoping they will be more ameraucana like.
