What breed is known for going broody?

When I had silkies, I only would put a max of 5-6 bantam size eggs under a hen. A silkie can sit on about 4 large fowl eggs comfortably.

1)silkies
2)Cochins (bantam or large fowl)
3)Game
4)orpington

My Key West game is trying to go broody for the third time this year. My orp mix, twice and so has my little Serama. Right now they are both sharing a box, again.....

I've got a Mille Fleur bantam that is broody and has been for a bit, and a old cochin that is so sweet I keep her and she is a great broody if needed. (the mille fleur is a hog when it comes to the nest though. I went out the other day and the two where sitting on top of eachother so they both could be on the eggs!)

I had a 1/2 silkie, 1/2 white leghorn that was the broodiest (and cutest) little thing ever...she hatched a clutch of 12 chicks one time. Was a great mom too and died defending a chick from the neighbor's dog. My cochin won't go broody and tends to accidentally break eggs in the nest because she is so heavy and clumsy.

Not to steal a thread, but my DD claims her white cochins are broodier than the other colors. Anyone else find a color difference?
