What breed is Loretta Lynn? (comb pics p. 2, post 19)

She has thick Cornish legs a close fitting comb (I'm assuming pea comb), so I'm going with hatchery stock Dark Cornish.

I agree with all the dark cornish guesses. Legs (color & thickness), clean/bare face, comb, feather coloring - all a perfect match.

At first I was excited that she might be a Barnevelder - that would be a neato cluck to have! Or I was hoping she's a really muddy-colored GLW. But after looking at pics of Dark Cornish, I'm afraid that may be it. She does have really thick legs. Her comb is wider than a single comb but not as flat as a the pea comb my EEs have at this age. Oh well - she's pretty and will be part of my laying flock for now. Thanks all!

Here are more photos of her comb - I hope you guys can see if it's rose or pea - at this age I'm not sure how to tell. I know it's not a single comb... These photos taken while the ladies were enjoying an afternoon yogurt snack.
