What breed is my Hen and her Adopted Chicks ?

I have no idea what breed they are, i got the eggs for her from a local farm. and ive had her for 3 years but i dont know her breed or the chicks . do you?

I dunno about your hen, but she's quite stately and good lookin'.

The chicks, I'm guessing Black Australorp or Barred Rock for the black one, and gosh, the gold one could be anything. The middle chick with the V on its head COULD be a Welsummer?

How helpful is that????

Could the hen be a barred rock mix? It has to be a mix with the gold coloring on the head part

no idea on chicks...not sure on the black on being a Black Australorp, it has some black patches on its feet, but the legs should be all black, unless it is mixed.

Don't know for sure on any of the others, but I would guess black australorp on the last one.

Your hen is so pretty! And goodness, look how white her legs and beak are. She must be a really good layer!

I was gonna say your hen is a Dominique but she has white legs and a golden head, so maybe a cuco maran cross, and the chicks the black one could either be a black Australop or same as her mom, the other 2 I wouldn't know.

the 2 black ones are black sex-links and one is a boy and one is a girl no idea on the red chick though
