I received this little baby as a gift and all I know is he/she is a "rainbow egg layer". Please help me identify her/him. One week old.

Welcome to BYC! :frow

Clean yellow legs, straight comb, (non bearded?), defined arrow chipmunk stripe with eye liner.. (can't make out red or white lobes yet)

Possibly a Welsummer or cream Legbar chick? Which hatchery?

Cute baby! :love
Thank you! Not sure which hatchery, possibly Meyer.

Looks like a Welsummer to me! This was mine as a chick.->

I agree, looks like a welsummer to me as well!

I agree. Or maybe Brown Leghorn.
I did also wonder about that.. noting that I do think white is great color to have for contrast in any "color pak" of eggs.. but being the main reason I didn't include it.. I thought we might be able to check the hatchery list to see if any include white layers in their "rainbow" egg layer assortments.. man a lot of hatcheries call them that.

There are a lot of hybrid chicks these days that may also be sporting this look. Like maybe starlight green eggers, etc

I love a good mystery! :pop
