What breed is my rooster? (pics included)

I recently adopted a trio of two hens and a rooster to help with some competition issues in my flock. I was in desperate need as my RIRs (go figure) were bullying my two Barred Rocks out of the flock and I read that a rooster might be the solution. We planned on adding one anyway but this was just the big push we needed. The women we got him from had a very mixed flock. I can’t remember now exactly what all breeds she said but I remember Brahma, Ameraucana, Australorp, and Silkie being mentioned. I was told he is a Australorp mix. He will be turning 8 months next week and he is very sweet so far and a wonderful gentleman to the two hens who came with him. No signs of aggression towards me or my husband at all yet and calms down very soon when held. We plan on growing the flock through him hopefully and we want good egg layers so I’m hoping whatever he is mixed with doesn’t affect his good Australorp egg laying genes too much. After looking at pictures of Australorp roos I see that the feathered legs and small head tuft that he has are not normal for that breed. I am new to the chicken world and would really like some seasoned experts help on deciphering what he might be mixed with!

(also yes his comb has some frostbite damage on it that occurred a few months ago when he was still with his previous owner, any advice on how to help with that also appreciated)

Silkie mix. Probably a silkie x australorp. His purple/black comb is just how it’s colored, not due to frostbite (unless you’re referring to something else).

I’m totally head over heels for him so even if he doesn’t produce that most efficient egg layers I will probably still keep him. I’m looking to add some Australorp hens to my flock now though!

He’s probably silkie x black Australorp.

He's a silkie mix, and he most likely has some australorp in him.

His previous owner told me she thought it was frostbite due to her not having their coop insulated well enough during a negative temperature snow storm we had in our area a few months back. Although it seems to be only on one side of the comb. Here’s a better picture.

Neither of those breeds have crests. This rooster has a crest, so he must have one created parent.
