You're right he sure looks like a mix. Does he have feathered shanks??

Can you please post better pics? Broadside pics of him standing naturally showing the body, stance, legs, etc are best.

If you cant tell, his legs are yellow. And, no his legs aren't feathered. His a big fellow. So friendly!

I had a rooster just like that (except black legs.)
He was a Black Australorp Mix. <3 Jet
