He's nearly one year was abandoned left to starve by the river bottom at a very young age I heard his story and took him in he's strikingly beautiful tall and is roughly 10 to 11 pounds any input would be much appreciated

What a beautiful rooster! I don't know the breed, but I see this exact breed of rooster often here in our rural community, watching over small flocks of hens as I drive along the country roads here in KY. This breed seems to be a popular one here in my area, so I will be watching the thread to learn the answer. I chose Barred Rocks, they are 5 weeks old now...I guess I didn't conform to the norm around here.

Thank you for saving this pretty guy, I hope he serves you well :)

I was told a well summer or a leghorn by some locals here in my home town but both persons were unsure but they both validated that he was going to be large he's growing like crazy he's filling in getting tail feathers and getting Taller he's stunning what ever breed he is I'd just want to know so I could know more about his breed and back ground I find it interesting and fun to know

This color is very common, it's the "classic" rooster color.....but color isn't breed. He's not a Leghorn, they're much lighter bodied and have big ol white earlobes. Could be a Welsummer, but they're supposed to have yellow legs. He's likely a mixed breed....this is an easy to get color from mixing breeds.
