What breed is our free chick from mcmurray ?

I just wanted to add that a lot of hatcheries do not vent sex bantams, so there is a decent chance that your little one is NOT a rooster.  He/she actually looks pretty girly to me.  You should know soon enough if it is a silver duckwing.  The males feather in entirely different colors.

Are these the true feathers? And can you tell already what this cutie is?

Our 3.5 weeks old chick is a boy right?
His comb has grown more than even the other full size chicks but I don't know anything about old English game chickens yet bantam ones.
Do you think too he is a boy?

Did it turn out that he is a silver duckwing? I cannot tell from the pic. If so, the black feathering in the chest is indicative of a cockerel.

I don't know yet what he is for sure.

I would guess Silver Phoenix with those blue legs. I agree, he sure looks Silver Duckwing in color. Regardless, as mentioned above, the black on the breast is a good indicator of cockerel.

You know, I didn't even notice the legs. But to be fair, I have gotten a couple of blue-legged Silver Duckwings from Murray McMurray. lol

Thanks everyone. I will try to rehome him and it will help to know what he is
