What breed is right for me!

Hello guys! I currently have two Jersey giants and one Plymouth Rock. I was wondering, what breed would work best to just get one of to incorporate with my flock? I would raise it from a chick, and I want it as friendly and as cuddly as possible. I have heard that silkies may be what I am looking for, as I would possibly want to bring them inside (with a diaper). Any ideas on what I may be looking for? One more thing, I know it’s best to raise them in the spring, but because I am leaving for a month long camp early in June, when should I raise them? If I raise them inside, can I get them in March?

Getting them in in March will be fine. I raise chicks in the house from April to October

Orpingtons are really good for being sweet and cuddly

My Brahma was the best lap chicken I’ve ever had. Often when I was sitting outside and she would get in my lap, sit down, and go to sleep.

I would say orpingtons! My sweet Hope follows me like a dog and is happy to sit on my lap or shoulder. Cochins are also very sweet, fluffy, and cuddly.
