I currently have 5 hens; 3 Australorps, 1 silver wyandotte and the 1 EE they all lay currently so about 3~5 eggs a day. And Mr. Sparkles our roo, who's a Barred Holland. Then since Tractor Supply was having a half off sale and I ended up with 8 pullets and 1 cockerel that are all about 7 weeks old today. Pics from left to right Big Mama, Cora and Mr.Sparkles. Then Goldilocks stealing the babies food because the other big hens pick on her.How many chickens do you have and how many eggs are you getting per day?
She looks old enough to lay according to that deep red comb, but she also looks like she might be molting. If shes molting, she might not be laying at all right now. Don't be surprised if you begin to get blue/green eggs after she completes her molt.
She's a Purdy Bird regardless of what color she lays!
