This girl was the lone survivor from my father in law's flock. He had to go out of town unexpectedly and something tunneled into his coop while he was away. He found her in a neighbor's garage sitting on a nest of unfertilized eggs. He brought her over last Friday and I've slowly integrated her into my little group. She's very pretty and I was wondering what breed she is... Thanks for your help!!

As Pyxis aid, Easter Egger cockerel.
You really mean pullet, right?

She's an easter egger, commonly (and mistakenly) called ameraucanas by hatcheries. The're nice hens that come in several colors, most have genes to lay green or blue eggs, hence the name easter egger.

That's what happens when we're up too late and should GO TO BED!

I find myself losing my ability to type after ten, ten thirty but still can't make myself get off the darn computer.

Well... she hasn't laid for me, but my father in law found her in the garage sitting on a nest full of brown eggs. Can she be an EE and lay brown eggs?
