What breed is the AFLAC duck?

We love our pekin....she loooooves to talk. but she is very quiet compared to our runner. THe runner can be heard down the street.

I will say that if you listen very closely and you close your eyes....and cross your fingers...you can hear the pekin say 'FLACK. We don't quite have the Aflack just flack.

Flack, Flack, flack.

I agree once you go to the good stuff it’s hard to go back to eating regular chicken eggs. The taste is one thing but it’s hard to argue with a bird that refuses to stop laying but for month or two out of the year. My Indian runners are supposed to only lay about 150 eggs each per year we had to have gotten at least 200-250 eggs this year per bird. They finally stopped when we had temperatures of 100+

Aflac Duck is a herd of Pekin. THere are several that are used.

I love my pekins. They are loud and noisy and talkative and funny.
I wish I had more pekin girls. I have one and 2 drakes.

So are some the stunt ducks and others do the acting? How do they train them to
quack AFLAC. I hope it's not inhumane.

Oh I like them already. Maybe we're related.

I've heard that but never tried one. Sounds yummy.

Hey, that's close enough.

Thanks everyone for another fun thread and for enabling my bird addiction, once again.
