what breed is this chicken?

you folks are awesome. his comb looks small compared to some pics, but still has a month or 2 to grow? such a sweet bird.. we are not allowed roosters. any chance this handsome bird is a hen ?

With a comb like that he’s most likely a cockerel. You should check out a no crow collar if you wanna try to keep him.

we named him bob, and he is the sweetest bird.. loves attention. can almost pet him like a cat, except that you have to catch him first usually.. i was half hoping to make bob kebobs out of him... but the kids all love him so much was search for a solution.

No particular brand inew can suggest. You just need to bestart caredul how tight you make them. I'd also invest in spur covers incase he starts to become aggressive in his second year.
 
he isn't the right shape for a pure cochin. Too erect and long legged. Looks more Brahma shaped to me. Probably a mix of Buff Orpington and Brahma?
