What breed is this chicken

Quote: Hi shelz, oh geez I haven't weighed her but she is big, here are some more pics. I also got a couple ducks but am definitely going to get her a couple more hens for company thank you for the tip hdowden.

She is the biggest hen I have ever seen besides meat chickens.

And here current friends :)

Looks like a light Sussex or Columbian Rock but I am no expert!

By the way nice looking bird.

Columbian Rocks and Delawares have yellow legs. She has pinkish legs a characteristic of a Light Sussex. Also, being in Australia, the Light Sussex would be a much more probable fowl.

Muma hen laid her first egg today 20 days after we got her. Also got her another two, four month old hens for company as well as the ducks. 3 hens and 2 ducks are living together happily.

Light Sussex:) And in the winter hens slow down on laying, just the season and weather change. Hens need lots of sunlight for egg production.

if she has feathers on her feet she is a light brahma but if not i would say a columbian wyandotte or light sussex and that is normal to not start laying right away sometimes it takes a little for the chicken to feel comfortable in a new home
