What breed is this cute little chick?

Can someone please help me in determining what breed of chick I have here? I have seen a few different breeds on the internet who come close. Possibly the Wellsummer and phoenix breeds come closest to the colouring patterns on the chick, especially the eyes. I have included a pic of the hen who I'm pretty sure is the chicks mother. She is a bantam with what I think is a rosecomb. She is not raising the chick though, the nest was stolen by another hen.
Also is it possible to tell the sex of the chick from its marking?

The hen does not look purebred, so I'm guessing the baby is not either. No way to know gender at this age.
